A little about what I’ve been up to recently- Small Business Owners Group!

Chloe Delaunay

As I know from my own experience and working with small business owners it can be tough working alone or in a small team. Often there is nobody to be accountable to, nobody to bounce ideas off, nobody to tell you they think you’re doing really well or the opposite, nobody to challenge you, help you know you’re making the right decision or even to help keep up your motivation.

Well, bearing all this in mind I decided to start a ‘Small Business Owners Group’ here in Valencia where I am currently living. There are many expats with small businesses and digital nomads from all over the world enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle but are lacking professional support. Some are going it alone and putting up with it while others are seeking those who may have had similar experiences or have little nuggets or even a wealth of knowledge to share.

My vision is to create a community of small business owners/ self employed individuals in our local area, so we can share these experiences, tips and tricks, advice and learn about different aspects of running a business- a space people can come to without having to search endlessly to find their answers!

Our first event took placed on 28th March 2018 at the fabulous Vortex Coworking space in El Cabanyal where I shared my vision of creating our community, my ideas for workshops I’ll be leading over the coming months, we looked at typical challenges faced by the small business owner and everyone took part by giving a short presentation of their business.

Here’s a couple of snaps of the evening ?
